FIRST MEETING HELD, ANOTHER PLANNED

Posted by Jane Brunner on February 21, 2012 at 10:40 AM Comments comments (0)

Our first meeting was held last evening at Sportsman's Warehouse.  The existing officers were unanimously voted in again for the 2012 season.  They are: Brad- President;  Jane- Secty/Treasurer and Jeff- Tournament Director.  The schedule was reviewed and it was confirmed that 5 of the 8 regular tournaments need to be fished to qualify for the Classic and the lakes and dates are firm for regular tourneys, but there may be further discussion regarding the dates and fishery for the Classic.  The idea of awarding paid entry fees to the top Team was discussed briefly and voted down due to the lost revenue.  We welcomed the new Team of Tim Sparkman and Leann Elam who have moved here from Texas.

Another meeting was scheduled for Monday, March 12 at 7 P.M. at the Memphis Pizza Cafe on Getwell, at which time we will decide on details for the March 18th tournament at Bay Springs, Piney ramp.  All members are encouraged to complete their 2012 Bass Buster applications and pay the $25 per person annual fee as soon as possible to avoid any delays  and allow us all to take advantage of that top water bite on the morning of the 18th :)

Our very own LARRY JENKINS wins BFL Wildcard

Posted by Jane Brunner on November 13, 2011 at 12:40 PM Comments comments (0)

Way to go Larry!!  This weekend Larry Jenkins captured the number one spot at the BFL Wildcard tourney on Lake Barkley with a two day total weight of 37.09 lbs.  He inched out KY local and FLW Pro Kevin Snyder by two pounds for the win.  This earned Larry an all expense paid birth at the BFL Potomac River tournament in May, 2012.  We will all forgive him if he has to miss one of our tournaments and may have to carry a laptop to follow him on the Potomac next May!  We wish you all the best Larry!
